Sky Stairs — Android

Summary

Sky Stairs does not collect any personal data such as your name, email address, contacts or location, and it never sells data. The game contains no advertising, no in-app purchases and no user accounts. To understand how the game is played, it sends a small number of anonymous usage events (for example "a game was started") to Aptabase, a privacy-first analytics service, where they are stored in aggregated form. These events cannot be linked to you as a person.

Data collection

Sky Stairs collects anonymous usage data in the following three categories:

• App interactions: the event itself (e.g. game started, retry used) together with basic gameplay values such as the selected game mode or the current score
• Diagnostics: operating system name and version, app version, and the device's language setting
• Device or other IDs: a randomly generated session identifier that is created anew for each play session and is not derived from your device or any account

This data is collected automatically whenever the game is played; the app does not offer a setting to disable it. It is shared with Aptabase (see "Third-party services" below), which stores it persistently for analysis — it is not processed only ephemerally.

The data is used for the following purposes:

• App interactions and device or other IDs: analytics only — understanding how the game is played and improving it
• Diagnostics: analytics, and additionally marketing purposes such as understanding which platforms and app versions the audience uses

Sky Stairs does not collect or process:

• personal information (name, email address, contacts, etc.)
• location data
• advertising identifiers or persistent hardware identifiers
• photos, media or files stored on your device

No cookies or similar tracking technologies are used, and IP addresses are not stored. All other game state (such as your current run) exists only in the app's own memory on your device.

Third-party services

The anonymous usage events described above are shared with and stored by Aptabase, an open-source, privacy-first analytics service that is GDPR-compliant by design: it uses no cookies, stores no IP addresses and creates no user profiles. See the Aptabase Privacy Policy for details. No other third-party services, SDKs or ad networks are integrated, no data is ever sold, and nothing is shared with advertising networks.

The game is distributed through Google Play. Google Play itself may collect data related to the download and installation of apps (for example for its own statistics); this is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and is outside our control.

Permissions

Sky Stairs does not request any sensitive Android permissions. It does not access your camera, microphone, location, contacts or storage. It uses the standard internet permission solely to send the anonymous usage events described above.

Children

Sky Stairs is suitable for all ages. The game collects no personal data from anyone, including children; the anonymous usage events described above contain nothing that could identify any player.

Changes to this policy

If a future update of Sky Stairs ever changes any of the above (for example by adding online features), this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the effective date at the top of this page will change accordingly.
